大气边界层  靠近地球表面、受地面摩擦阻力影响的大气层区域。大气流过地面时,地面上各种粗糙元,如草、沙粒、庄稼、树木、房屋等会使大气流动受阻,这种摩擦阻力由于大气中的湍流而向上传递,并随高度的增加而逐渐减弱,达到某一高度后便可忽略。此高度称为大气边界层厚度,它随气象条件、地形、地面粗糙度而变化,大致为300~1000米。    从流体力学角度看,大气边界层气流(即风)有如下特点:    ①风速随高度增加而逐渐增大 风速在地表面等于零,而在大气边界层外缘同地转风速度相等。变化规律可用经验公式表示:           式中v∞为离地面z处的风速;v∞r为在离地面zr处某参考点的风速;n为幂指数,随地面粗糙度和温度而变化。加拿大的A.G.达文波特根据现场观测,得出几种典型地貌的n值(见表)。    ②湍流结构 在大气边界层中,大气流动具有很大的随机性,基本上是湍流流动,其结构可用湍流度、雷诺应力、相关函数和频谱(见湍流理论)等表示,气流湍流度可达20%。    ③风向偏转 在北半球,由于地球自转产生的科里奥利力(见相对运动)的作用,顺着地面附近风的方向看,风向随高度的增加逐渐向右偏转(见图),而在大气边界层外缘,与地转风的风向相合,风向偏转角度因时因地而异,一般可达几十度以上。      ④温度层结(即温度梯度) 大气温度T随高度z而变化,其变化率直接影响大气的稳定度。当 (г为大气干绝热递减率,约为每一百米0.98℃),大气呈稳定的状态;特别是当时,稳定度特别大,称为逆温状态;当时,大气呈中性稳定状态;当时,大气呈不稳定状态。
