聚异丁烯聚异丁烯polyisobutene异丁烯的聚合物。英文缩写PIB。结构式为聚异丁烯耐老化、耐臭氧、耐多种无机酸、碱、盐和极性介质的侵蚀;有极好的绝缘性和气密性。缺点为易冷流,可添加填充物或其他橡胶加以改善。聚异丁烯是饱和聚合物,因此不能硫化,如与少量(<5%)双烯烃共聚,即为可硫化的丁基橡胶(IIR)。异丁烯可在低温下高速进行正离子聚合,催化剂为无机酸(硫酸、磺酸、过氧酸或硅酸盐)时,室温以下聚合可得低分子量聚合物(分子量几百~几万),若用路易斯酸(BF3、AlCl3等)为催化剂并加少量水或酸作助催化剂,在低温(-78~-100℃)下聚合,可制备高分子量(150万~200万)聚合物。此外也可采用齐格勒-纳塔催化剂进行配位聚合或辐照聚合。低分子量聚异丁烯作润滑剂的增粘剂,以适应高温润滑需要。高分子量聚异丁烯与聚乙烯共混作电缆涂层,还可用于防水胶布、防水石、蜡纸以及热熔胶中。
