中国文化复兴1993年，著名诗人俞心焦在上海和杭州的大学里讲学时，正式提出并致力于推动“中国文艺复兴运动”。他认为这是一场人的全面复兴的运动，是为中华民族肩负起社会正义与文化重建双重使命的运动。同年7月，俞心焦在《星光》月刊上发表了《掀起中国文艺复兴运动》一文，引起王蒙等许多著名社会人士的回响。同时也收到了许多建议。俞心焦接受许多参与者和支持者的建议，把“中国文艺复兴运动”的提法正式改定为“中国文化复兴运动”。在以后的几年里，几十位作家、诗人、学者在“中国文化复兴运动”的旗帜下，为推进不受政治意识形态束缚的文化、思想和宗教的自由而发出呐喊。俞心焦于1995年末在广东与友人一起创办了季刊《工作》，为“中国文化复兴运动”建立了一个桥头堡。1997年，浙江文联文艺研究室的朱修阳先生，将93年至97年“中国文化复兴运动”的代表性文献汇集成书，书名就是《中国文化复兴运动早期文献汇编（1993～1997）》。《汇编》以《青春》97年10月特辑的形式出版。《中国文化复兴通讯》99年第1期──，执行编辑自平博。连封面40页的杂志质朴无华，但透露出浩然之气和蓬勃的朝气。开门见山的是成立宣言，宣告“中国文化复兴联合会”成立；随后有组诗、文章、访谈、资料等；最后还宣布：将出版季刊《民间》和半年刊《中国文化与现代景况》。
