高炉热风炉  用于预热高炉用风的热交换装置、每座高炉设置3~4 座热风炉轮流供应热风。在早期换热式铁管热风炉中,风温只有400℃左右;后来采用考伯式 (Cowper)内燃蓄热式格子砖热风炉,50年代风温一般为800℃左右,70年代超过1020℃,现在最高达1350℃。50年代以来,新式热风炉有改进内燃式、外燃式和顶燃式三种(见图)。    为了不断提高风温,不断改进了热风炉结构和耐火砖材质,如燃烧室移到炉外与蓄热室分开的外燃式,高温部分耐火砖改用硅砖,套筒式燃烧器改为陶瓷燃烧器等。    外燃式热风炉是1959年以后开始出现的,有地得式(Didier)、柯柏式(Koppers)、马琴式(Martin andPagenstecher)和新日铁式(NSC)四种。它们的共同特点是将燃烧室移至炉外;所不同的是拱顶和燃烧室顶部联接方式不一。新建高炉较多采用外燃式热风炉。    1979年中国首都钢铁公司1327米3二号高炉使用顶燃式热风炉,顶燃式热风炉的燃烧室设在热风炉顶部,风温超过1200℃。四座热风炉布置成方形,结构简单,节省钢材,有发展前途。    高风温热风炉的问题是拱顶温度超过1450℃时,生成大量NOx等气体,与冷凝水作用成为腐蚀剂,使炉壳产生晶间腐蚀,并在热应力作用下产生裂纹。解决的办法除控制拱顶温度不超过1450℃外,壳内使用涂料或不锈钢薄板隔层,并对焊缝进行退火处理。拱顶温度与出口风温差一般为200℃左右,先进的热风炉约为120~150℃。现代热风炉一般采用高炉煤气加焦炉煤气作燃料。在缺少高发热量煤气的条件下,采用预热助燃空气和煤气的方法,也可提高风温至1200℃以上。
