二甲基甲酰胺 HCON(CH3)2 系N,N-二甲基甲酰胺的简称。无色液体,易吸水，沸点153℃。二甲基甲酰胺是1893年由弗列首先合成的，但直到1950年之后，它才成为重要化工商品，常用的工业生产方法有三种： ① 在甲醇溶液中，以甲醇钠为催化剂,或在110～150℃、1.5～2.0MPa下,以金属羰基化合物为催化剂,使二甲胺与一氧化碳进行一步反应制得： (CH3)2NH+CO─→HCON(CH3)2 ② 先由甲醇和一氧化碳（或甲酸）在催化剂作用下生成甲酸甲酯，再与二甲胺反应制得产品： CO+CH3OH─→HCOOCH3 HCOOCH3+(CH3)2NH─→HCON(CH3)2+CH3OH ③ 三氯乙醛与二甲胺反应：产物经分馏除去氯仿，即得成品。 Cl3CCHO+(CH3)2NH─→HCON(CH3)2+Cl3CH 二甲基甲酰胺是优良的溶剂，用于聚丙烯腈纤维等合成纤维的湿法纺丝、聚氨酯的合成、芳烃抽提以及从碳四馏分分离回收丁二烯和碳五馏分分离回收异戊二烯。它也是农药杀螨剂杀虫脒的原料。在制药工业中用于合成磺胺嘧啶(见磺胺药)、强力霉素、可的松（见激素）等。
