堰堰weir具有挡水、溢流或测流功能的低水头水工建筑物。根据堰体厚度δ与堰上水头H的比值可分为薄壁堰、实用堰和宽顶堰。①薄壁堰。δH<0.67,用于试验室和野外测流的量水设备,也称量水堰。它是一个垂直于水流流向的直立金属板,常用的有矩形薄壁堰和三角形薄壁堰。②实用堰。0.67<δH<2.5,常用于岸边溢洪道,也称溢流堰。③宽顶堰。2.5<δH<10,常用作水闸工程的底槛,有时也用于岸边溢洪道。按堰的下游水位及流过堰顶的水流在下游形成的水跃情况,可分为自由溢流和淹没溢流。当堰顶宽小于来水宽度或堰顶设有闸墩时,水流将产生侧收缩。淹没溢流和侧收缩使堰的过流量有所降低,在计算过流能力时应予以考虑。
