元胞元胞Primitive eell 元胞Primitive Cell在空间晶格中,取一个格点为原点,取从原点到最近的3个格点的矢量为al、乓、a3,称为基矢(3个基矢不共面),则以基矢为边组成的平行六面体称为初基晶胞或元胞。整个晶体可以由元胞平移密堆而成。 元胞是体积最小的晶胞,每个元胞只对应于(或只含有)一个格点。元胞若为已知,则空间晶格完全确定,摧矢al、仇、几也为已知,于是空间晶格中任一格点位置均由下式确定 R.=11al+乙aZ+几a3‘式中11、乙、乙为整数。 根据元胞的体积是最小的晶胞这一特点,广义地说.凡是体积最小的重复单元均可称为元胞,因此元胞的取法不是唯一的,甚至也不一定是平行六面体。例如,取一个格点为原点,作原点到最近邻和次近邻格点联线的垂直平分面,这些面围绕原点形成一个多面体,这个多面体也是最小体积的重复单元,称为维格纳一塞茨元胞,简称W一S元胞。由于W一S元胞保持原晶体所具有的对称性,所以又称为对称元胞。倒易晶格中的W一S元胞就是第一布里渊区。 (刘皖育)
