电弧切割 用电弧作为热源的热切割。与气割相比,电弧切割质量较差,但因电弧温度较高,能量较集中,能切割的材料种类比气割广泛。所有的金属材料几乎都可以用电弧切割。电弧切割分为碳弧切割、气刨和空心焊条电弧切割3种。①碳弧切割:用钳式割炬夹持圆柱形、扁形或矩形的碳棒作为电极之一,另一电极为工件。压缩空气从割炬喷气孔喷出,并沿碳棒侧面或四周喷向电弧在工件上的燃着点,吹除熔化金属和熔渣,形成切口。碳弧切割可用于切除焊缝缺陷、开坡口、切除铸件冒口、飞边、毛刺和缺陷,以及废品废料的解体等(见图)。②气刨:用碳弧切割的方法在工件表面上开槽。③空心焊条电弧切割:原理和用途与碳弧切割相似。电极用特制的空心焊条,焊条的药皮起稳定电弧和增大熔化金属流动性的作用。压缩空气从焊条中心孔喷出,吹除被电弧熔化的金属和熔渣,形成切口。
