流溪河流溪河流溪河国家森林公园位于从化市北部与良口镇相连处,是我国首批兴建的十大森林公园之一,亚热带森林特色,被誉为镶嵌在北回归线的一颗绿色明珠。流溪河国家森林公园建于1986年,其动植物资源丰富,在9万余亩的山林中,蕴藏着82棵、403种树木,有竹柏、樟、香花楠等珍贵树种,还有山樱、墨兰、鹤顶兰、杜鹃等观赏花木。公园中有百亩茶园、千亩梅园、万亩竹园,梅谢茶香,各领风骚。公园的深山密林中,繁衍着种类繁多的野生保护动物:苏门羚、水鹿、山牛、猫狸、果子狸、芒鼠、穿山甲等出没在密林深处;白鹇、雉鸡、鹭鹚、鸳鸯、画眉、红嘴相思鸟等常在湖边嬉戏;此外还有石蛤、山龟在山间栖息。在公园的中央,是群山环抱的流溪河水库,面积2万多亩,有22个大小岛屿。鸡枕山主峰海拔1384米,是广州地区最高的山峰。这里春夏山花烂漫,秋日红枫似火,隆冬山峰结冰飘云,山下梅花怒放,一派北国风光。由于公园群山环绕,湖水相依,又有大面积森林,因而空气清新、气候宜人。盛夏时节,这里的气温要比广州低3~4℃,是一处富有大森林气息的避暑胜地。现在公园内建有豪华山庄别墅,风味餐厅,开辟了“小漓江”、“水帘洞”等景点及“铁索桥”、“军事射击场”等游乐设施。流溪河国家森林公园是人们旅游观光、度假疗养、回归大自然的好处。
