热开关（thermalswitch）热开关（thermalswitch）指能够控制两个物体之间热接触或热分离的装置，一般有以下四种：⑴气体开关：两个未接触的物体，如果它们处在高真空的环境，彼此传热极差，是一种热分离的状态，在充入少量的氦气后，通过氦气的传热，两物体之间实现了热接触，从而起到了热开关的作用。⑵机械开关：有钳式和平板式两种。用和A物体热连接的钳子夹住B物体时就热连接，钳子松开时就热分离。平板式可用波纹管或威尔逊接头的伸缩使与A物体热连接的平板与B物体热连接或分离。为了减少接触时的热阻，在接触处应焊上银、黄金或铜等高热导的金属板。⑶超导开关：利用超导材料的超导态与正常态的热导差而制成的热开关。正常态热导λn正比于T，超导态热导λs正比于T3，所以λn/λs正比于T-2，热导比在0.1K以下可达103～105。其正常与超导态之间的转换可用一小磁体来实现。在低温下材料处于超导态，加上磁场时它就转变为正常态，所以可以用磁场来控制热开关的通与断，即A、B两物体通过一超导材料连接在一起，无磁场时，材料热导率小是热开路。加上磁场，材料失起变为正常态，热导率加大了几个量级成为热通路。⑷磁热开关：利用有些材料如Be、Ga等的热流磁场效应，也即在外场的作用下，这些材料的热导小，无外场时的热导大。所以可以用磁场来控制热通路或断路。例如高纯的Be单晶在T≤20K时，H=6kOe，其热导比λ(0)/λ(H)＞102，这种热开关在温度升高后其声子运载的热流凌驾于载流子运送的热流之上，这时λ对H时就不敏感了。所以这种热开关在T≥100K时就不能使用。
