章锡琛(1889~1969)  中国编辑出版家。民盟盟员。别名雪村,1889年 8月24日生于浙江绍兴。1909年毕业于绍兴山会师范学堂。1912~1925年任上海商务印书馆《东方杂志》编辑、《妇女杂志》主编,并编辑上海《时事新报》副刊《现代妇女》和上海《民国日报》副刊《妇女周刊》。1926年 1月组织创办《新女性》杂志社,任主编。1926年 8月创办开明书店。在中华民国时期,他坚持同反动势力进行了斗争,表现了一个中国正直知识分子的高贵品格。中华人民共和国成立后,任中央人民政府出版总署处长、专员,1954年起任古籍出版社编辑、副总编辑,1956年任中华书局副总编辑。1969年逝世。    曾拟定中华人民共和国第 1 个" 著作权暂行法",撰写《苏联大百科全书》中的"中国出版"条目,参加《资治通鉴》校点工作,并著有《文学概论》、《文史通义选注》、《马氏文通校注》、《助字辨略校注》及散见于《东方杂志》、 《妇女杂志》、 《现代妇女周刊》、《新女性》、《中学生》等报刊上的著译文章六七百篇。
