野双峰驼:真正的“沙漠之舟”(图) 野双峰驼仅产于蒙古西南和中国西北的塔里木至柴达木盆地一带。 野双峰驼的身躯比家骆驼细长,脚略小,毛也较短。它们有很长的眼睫毛,鼻孔有瓣膜,可以完全闭住眼和鼻。这种结构均是缘于生活在多风沙地区的一种适应。 野双峰驼生活在自然条件极其恶劣的荒漠地带,一般独栖或两三只同栖,秋季则聚集几十只至上百只的大群一起,并有季节性迁徙活动。沙漠荒原植物稀少,干燥缺水,夏季气温可达40~50℃,冬季则为零下20~30℃,并且经常狂风大作,飞沙走石,仅有一些胡杨、沙枣之类的灌丛荆棘和野草可供其食用。因此,它们既耐高温,又耐严寒,且耐饥渴。野双峰驼的嗅觉、听觉、视觉都十分好。它们奔跑速度也很快,在短时间内可达数百公里外。 野双峰驼至少在公元前800多年前就被人类驯化并利用。目前,野双峰驼家养数量很多,但野生数量一直很少。再加上近一个世纪以来,沙漠化日益严重,沙生植物日渐稀疏,及人类猎杀等因素,野生双峰驼更是十分罕见。目前,中国己把它们列为一级保护动物,禁止对其进行捕杀。
