周公周公中国周代初年政治家。名旦。周文王之子，周武王之弟。因采邑在周（今陕西宝鸡东北），称为周公。文王死后二年，周公佐武王东伐殷至孟津。四年，他和太公望、召公奭佐武王灭殷杀纣，三分商王畿地。合称三监，以监殷民。克殷二年后武王重病，遗命周公继位。但周公告天请代武王死，告天策文藏于金箱内。武王死后，天下闻武王崩而叛。周公为应付危难，立武王年幼之子诵为周成王，又自己执政称王，以致引起内部争权斗争。文王之子管叔、蔡叔也乘机散布流言，引起成王对周公的怀疑。最后成王开金箱，看见策文，周公才获得信任。于是管、蔡勾结武庚起兵反周。图片纣之子武庚利用时机，图谋复国，周公和召公内弭父兄，外抚诸侯，经过3年东征，平定了三监叛乱。这次战事是武王灭殷后周公为彻底征服殷族及其同盟作出的最大功绩，周王朝的统治由此奠定下来。周公于第四年回到宗周即采取两方面政策：一是分治殷民，一是分封诸侯。大抵姬、姜两族进占已开化膏腴或要冲之地，殷及其联盟各族则被赶至落后偏僻地区，造成了周初的一次民族大迁移。为实现武王遗志，周公又于执政五年以大量殷遗民营洛邑，建东都成周，至七年告成。他请成王到新都举行首次祀典，并开始亲政，成王则请他留守洛邑。此后周公归政成王，自己留守成周，与留在宗周的召公形成分陕而治的局面，自陕（指陕原，即陕陌，今河南陕县西南）以东广大疆域都归周公治理。3年之后，周公老于丰，成王任命其子明保到成周负责三事四方。周公遗言死后愿归葬成周，但成王尊其功，留葬于宗周附近毕地与文王墓相邻。制礼作乐是周公在整个执政期间对有关各种典章制度及文化教育诸方面的建树。在历史上很有名。
