美洲国家组织美洲国家组织AmericanStates，Organizationof美洲独立国家的区域性国际组织。1890年4月14日，美国等18个美洲国家在华盛顿举行的第一次美洲国家会议(泛美会议)上，决定建立美洲共和国国际联盟及其常设机构美洲共和国商务局，1910年改名为美洲共和国联盟，商务局改为泛美联盟，1948年通过了《美洲国家组织宪章》，改名为美洲国家组织。至1989年共有33个成员国。宗旨是加强美洲大陆的和平安全，确保和平解决争端，促进各国合作和拉美一体化。组织机构主要有大会、外长协商会议、常设理事会、秘书处。总部设在华盛顿。主要刊物有《美洲》。该组织曾长期受美国控制，60年代起此种不平等的政治、经济关系有所改变，一些拉美国家经常就国际问题发表意见和采取行动。美洲国家组织旗1989年5月17日美洲国家组织第21届外交部长会议在美国首都华盛顿举行
