梅花鹿梅花鹿Cervusnippon;sikadeer鹿科鹿属的一种。因身体有明显的白斑在背脊两旁和体侧下缘排列成行而得名。又称花鹿。下分7个亚种,中国有5个亚种。体型中等,体长约150厘米,肩高80~110厘米;鼻端裸出而呈裂缝状;雄鹿具角,每年约4月脱盘长茸,其角一般到4杈为止,眉杈斜向下伸,第二杈与眉杈相距甚远;冬毛栗棕色,白色斑点不显,尾下部、鼠鼷部为白色,腹毛淡棕;夏毛红棕色,有的为暗灰褐色,背中线黑色,有的地区至尾基部黑色线变细,尾上部黑色,下部白色。分布于西伯利亚东南隅,日本,中国的东北、华北、东南和台湾。喜栖于混交林,山地草原和森林边缘,一般不进入密林。冬季多在阳坡低凹背风处,春秋则在空旷少树地区活动。夏季喜荫凉,多在阴坡开阔透风的地方,有时为了避免蚊蝇叮咬也到高山草原活动。性机警,晨昏结群。主要以青草、嫩芽、树叶、沙参、蕈类为食。每年8~11月交配,妊娠期7~8个月,4~6月为产仔盛期,每胎1~2仔。梅花鹿为重要的经济兽类,野生梅花鹿数量非常稀少;中国列为国家一类保护动物。
