面塑面塑用面团(主要是糯米面团)捏塑成各种形象的中国民间手工艺品。又称面人。相传汉代迎神赛会上的傩舞便以面团塑成鬼怪头部形象。20世纪中叶，面塑成为艺术欣赏品。艺人有汤子博、李俊兴、赵阔明等人。汤子博北京通县人，创制了纸板面塑(将面塑置于纸板上)、核桃面塑(在一半核桃空壳的内壁中放置微型面塑)，最小者仅4厘米，人物形态生动，色彩淡雅。代表作品有核桃面塑“十八罗汉朝如来”、“二十四仙女朝王母”等。山东菏泽是中国面塑的传统产区，艺人李俊兴出身于面塑艺人世家，他创制了面塑脸谱、浮雕面塑等新品种，作品色彩鲜艳。赵阔明祖籍北京，40年代便在上海以面塑为生，擅长戏曲人物、佛像和儿童。面塑工艺分和面、蒸熟、揉面、调色、捏塑、配纸板或玻璃框(盒)、核桃壳等工序。和面时，糯米粉要加入石碳酸、蜂蜜、棉花等防腐、防裂剂。面塑以圆雕为主，运用小型刀具、剪刀、梳(在面上压制头发和花纹)等，采用揉、捏、压、搓、滚、碾、拨、切等多种技法捏塑而成。面塑创作时间短，注重人物神态刻画，动作夸张，色彩鲜明，手法简练，一气呵成，干净利索。
