土家族织锦 中国湖南、湖北、四川、贵州毗邻地区土家族生产的传统手工织锦。简称土家锦。土家族称西兰卡普。因品种以铺盖(被面)为主,故又称打花铺盖。《后汉书·西南夷传》有哀牢夷"织文革绫锦"的记载。清代乾隆年间(1736~1795)湖南《永顺府志》记载,"斑布,即土锦","土人以一手织纬,一手用细牛角挑花,遂成五色"。湖南龙山县的猫儿滩、捞车、靛房、坡脚和永顺县的对山、凤栖等地区的土家族仍然保留着织造土家锦的习俗。 土家锦以红、蓝、白棉线为经线,以各色丝线、棉线为纬线,通经断纬,纬花自由换色地挑织而成。织机沿用汉代腰机式斜织机。挑织工艺全凭心计,无需蓝本。土家锦主要用于被面和服饰,尤其是姑娘的嫁妆和举行祭祀礼仪时舞蹈所穿的披甲。质地厚实,色彩绚丽,尚黑色,忌白色,表现了土家族人民粗壮、朴实的气质。土家锦的图案主要有马、阳雀、燕子、蛇、猴,狗牙齿、猫脚迹、台台花(相传为土家族古代图腾──虎的演化)、土皮八勾(即以八个勾形组成菱形图案,相传为蟹纹)等。图案大多是抽象的、象征性的几何形连续组织,风格庄重、均衡而饱满。1978年,湖南省工艺美术研究所和湘西土家族自治州对土家锦进行挖掘、整理和研究,使之广泛用于旅游纪念品、室内壁饰和服装等方面。湖南龙山著名的土家锦老艺人叶玉翠自13岁开始织锦,不少作品已被国家收藏。
