大兴隆起北京活动构造带。斜贯北京小平原中部,呈北东走向,隐伏于地表之下。面积约为1300平方公里。大兴区域大部处于隆起的中部。其西北侧为北京凹陷,东南侧为燕郊-牛堡屯断裂、大厂凹陷,两侧分别以南苑-通州断裂带及永乐店-夏垫-马坊断裂带为界。南段与南各庄-长子营断裂、廊固凹陷为邻。隆起西北高而东南低,高点埋深仅几十米,位于黄村镇与南苑镇之间,形成于第三纪,上覆50~1000米左右的第三系和第四系地层,内幕是由中上元古界和古生界组成的蓟县系、青白口系、寒武系、奥陶系地层。次级背斜轴部在高点东向,约在榆垡-马驹桥一线。新生界地层由西北向东南逐渐加厚。大兴隆起的两侧有次一级的断裂下降活动,与北京凹陷相应,形成地垒式的构造。隆起的上部地表呈平原地貌形态。
