云南澄江动物群古生物国家地质公园云南澄江动物化石群位于云南省澄江县城东5公里的抚仙湖畔帽天山,主要地质遗迹类型为古生物化石。“澄江动物化石群”保存了早寒武世(距今5.3亿年)40多个门类,100余种动物的化石。其中有海绵动物、腔肠动物、软体动物、节肢动物和疑难动物化石等。由于埋藏地质条件特殊,不但保存了生物硬体化石,而且保存了十分罕见精美的生物软体印痕化石。为研究寒武早期动物大爆发及这个时期的动物生理结构、生活习性、系统演化、生态环境提供了实物资料,是极为宝贵的地质遗迹。
