乐清湾乐清湾是一个难得的天然良湾,她位于浙江南部瓯江入海口北侧,原为潮流通道形港湾。东侧是玉环县,西岸是乐清市,温岭市在其湾顶,湾口是洞头县各岛屿。沿岸有清江、白溪、水涨、灵溪、江下等30余条大小溪流入注湾内。位于玉环县的大麦屿是浙南最主要的深水港资源分布区,港区水深大多在9~30米之间,最深区达41米,可建1~5万吨级以上泊位30多个,10万吨级的深水泊位4个……玉环当地的居民告诉记者,在玉环附近的深水港区曾经能看到跳跃翻腾的海豚。更难得的是乐清湾有可待开发的潮汐能源,乐清湾的潮差较大,一次大潮的进潮总量达21.3ⅹ108立方米,湾内有适宜于建立潮汐电站的坝址,装机容量可达55万千瓦。而乐清湾33.1万亩的海涂是贝类养殖的天然牧场,这更是乐清湾值得骄傲的自然资源。在乐清湾有各种主要的经济鱼类20余种,其中大黄鱼是主要的鱼类资源,还有58种贝类,60种甲克类动物,整个乐清湾水质肥沃,饵料生物丰富,十分利于海水养殖,是浙江省蛏、蚶、牡蛎三大贝类的养殖基地和苗种基地。而且由于乐清湾的水体容量大,东临东海、使乐清湾西部的乐清市沿山麓地带,因山走势与海岸平行,北部有山地阻隔,形成热量、水分、温度条件较好的陆域港湾小气候,所以,湾内冬季温暖,春季气温回升早,使乐清湾沿岸地区气候条件优越。乐清湾本身天然拥有不少湿地,湿地本来就是希缺的海洋资源,有“地球的肾脏”的美誉。乐清湾是上天赐给浙江的一个天然良湾,如此优越的海洋地理环境不仅浙江少有,在全国乃至世界范围内也是罕见的。
