缆绳 用于系结船舶的多股绳索。要求具备抗拉、抗冲击、耐磨损、柔韧轻软等性能。过去常用钢索、麻或棉绳,合成纤维出现以后已大多用锦纶、丙纶、维纶、涤纶等制做。合成纤维缆绳除比重轻、强度高、抗冲击和耐磨性好以外,有耐腐蚀、耐霉烂、耐虫蛀等优点。如锦纶缆绳的强度和耐磨牢度超过麻、棉缆绳数倍,丙纶缆绳比重小于水,可浮于水面,操作方便安全。化纤缆绳按加工结构分为3股、多股拧绞缆绳和8股、多股编绞缆绳两类。3股缆绳一般直径为4~50毫米,8股缆绳一般直径为35~120毫米。化纤缆绳除用于船舶系缆外,还广泛用于交通运输、工业、矿山、体育和渔业等方面。根据特种用途需要,还可在缆芯内编入金属材料。
