月球着陆 航天器在月球上着陆的技术。月球着陆不同于火星着陆和金星着陆。因为月球没有大气层，所有靠大气阻力的着陆手段（制动襟翼、降落伞和机翼）都不起作用，只能依靠反向推力制动。所以，无论是载人登月舱还是自动探测器都采用制动火箭减速加上着陆缓冲的办法在月球上实现软着陆。航天器在绕月轨道飞行时计算出实时的轨道要素、着陆参数（推力大小和姿态调整量）和着陆程序。当航天器到达预定着陆区上空时，调整制动火箭推力方向，起动制动火箭，下降到一定高度时，改为小推力工作或自由垂直下降。航天器上的着陆雷达不断测出到月面的距离。到着陆最后阶段制动火箭以小推力工作，使航天器进一步减速。当航天器的月面支撑脚上探针触及月面时，制动火箭自动停止工作。这时航天器的下降速度仅为 1～2米/秒。起缓冲作用的支撑脚吸收这一点动能，使航天器在月面安全着陆。在月球上实现软着陆的有美国"阿波罗"号 6艘载人飞船的登月舱和苏联"月球"9、13号探测器以及带有月球车的"月球"17号和21号探测器等（见"阿波罗"工程、"月球"号探测器）。
