酸酸acid一类在水溶液中能电离产生H3O+的化合物的总称。盐酸(HCl)、硫酸(H2SO4)、硝酸(HNO3)、磷酸(H3PO4)在水溶液中电离时,产生的阴离子(酸根)虽然各不相同,但产生的阳离子(H3O+)却是相同的,因此它们在性质上有共同的地方,例如具有酸味;能溶解许多金属;能使蓝色石蕊试纸变红等等,这些性质实际上就是H3O+的性质。根据酸在水溶液中电离度的大小,有强酸和弱酸之分,一般认为,强酸在水溶液中完全电离,如盐酸、硝酸;弱酸在水溶液中部分电离,如乙酸、碳酸。根据酸中所含的可电离的氢离子数目的多少,可分为一元酸(如HCl、CH3COOH)、二元酸(如H2CO3、H2C2O4)、三元酸(如H3PO4)。根据酸中是否含氧,可分为无氧酸和含氧酸。无氧酸都称为氢某酸,如氢硫酸(H2S)、氢溴酸(HBr)、氢碘酸(HI)、氢氟酸(HF)、氢氰酸(HCN)等。含氧酸的种类比较多,如次氯酸(HClO)、亚氯酸(HClO2)、氯酸(HClO3)、高氯酸(HClO4)。酸的用途很广,几乎重要的工业都要使用各种酸。酸对于人体的生理活动也至关重要,人的体液必须保持一定酸度。
