亚胺亚胺imine分子中含有碳-氮双键的化合物。通式R2C=NR′,其中R和R′可以是烃基或氢。亚胺一般都不稳定,往往难以分离得到。但碳-氮键与芳基相连的亚胺一般都比较稳定,通常称为席夫碱。亚胺的某些化学性质很像羰基化合物,经还原可以制得胺;亚胺水解时生成醛或酮,水解反应实际是醛、酮与胺缩合的逆反应。因此亚胺,尤其是席夫碱可以作为羰基保护基在合成中使用。亚胺通常由氨或一级(伯)胺与醛、酮缩合制得。由氨所得的亚胺极不稳定,常在生成的同时发生聚合反应,例如氨与甲醛反应的产物是六亚甲基四胺。由一级(伯)胺与醛、酮缩合所得的亚胺相对稳定些,可用常规方法分离得到,但也都比较容易分解。芳香胺与醛、酮或一级(伯)胺与芳香醛、酮缩合的亚胺(即席夫碱)较稳定。亚胺可作合成氮芥的原料。亚胺有毒,对皮肤有刺激性。
