吡喃吡喃pyran含有一个氧杂原子的六元杂环化合物。分子式C5H6O。有两种同分异构体,分别称为a-吡喃(1,2-吡喃)和γ-吡喃(1,4-吡喃)。a-和γ-吡喃未分别分离出来过,吡喃的盐是一类很重要的化合物。吡喃环中的氧原子具有极强的碱性,成盐后即被稳定下来。许多重要的天然物如色素、糖、抗生素、生物碱,均含有吡喃或吡喃盐的环系,如五碳糖或六碳糖形式的六元环的半缩醛结构,就称为吡喃糖。
