α-甲基吡啶分子式：C6H7N分子量：93.13CAS号：109-06-8性质：无色液体。熔点-70℃，沸点128-129℃，相对密度0.950（15/4℃），折光率1.5010，闪点26℃。能与醇、醚混溶、易溶于水。制备方法：吡啶和甲基吡啶以前都从煤焦化副产中回收，它分布在焦炉煤气、粗苯和焦油中。一般从煤气转移到硫铵母液里的吡啶类水合物沸点都很低，在95-97℃之间，回收得到的粗轻吡啶盐基中，2-甲基吡啶含15%左右，进一步精馏可切取得到2-甲基吡啶。随着吡啶和甲基吡啶用途的扩大，合成法生产吡啶和甲基吡啶不断发展。目前，国外约95%的吡啶及吡啶类化合物是用合成法生产的。主要的合成法有乙醛法、乙炔法、丙烯腈法等。乙醛法 乙醛、甲醛和氨反应，主要产品是2-甲基吡啶、3-甲基吡啶和4-甲基吡啶。乙炔法 乙炔和氨反应，主要产品是2-甲基吡啶和4-甲基吡啶。乙烯法 乙烯和氨反应，主要产品是2-甲基吡啶和2-甲基-5-乙基吡啶。丙烯腈法 丙烯腈和过量丙酮反应，主要产品是2-甲基吡啶。另外，丙烯醛和氨反应主要生成3-甲基吡啶。用途：用于制取2-乙烯基吡啶、氮肥增效剂（N-Serve）、长效磺胺、抗矽肺病药、牲畜驱虫药、家禽用药、有机磷解毒剂、局部麻醉药、泻药、胶片感光剂的添加物、染料中间体和橡胶促进剂等。
