共聚合共聚合copolymerization由两种或两种以上单体共同聚合,生成同一分子中含有两种或两种以上单体单元的聚合物的反应。其产物为共聚物。由多种单体经共聚合反应形成的共聚物称多元共聚物,如用三元单体组成的称三元共聚物。根据两种结构单元在共聚物分子链中的排列方式,可将共聚物分为4类:①无规共聚物。两种单体结构单元的排列次序无规律性。②交替共聚物。两种单体结构单元交替排列。③嵌段共聚物。两种结构单元各自排列成段又相互连接。④接枝共聚物。这是一种支链型聚合物,即在一种聚合物链上接另一聚合物链为支链,主链和支链可以是均聚物,也可是共聚物。在研究共聚合反应形成共聚物的过程中,除研究反应速度、分子量及其分布和链结构等问题外,特别注意共聚物组成的变化规律。影响共聚物组成的关键是两单体在增长过程中消耗速度的比值,与引发过程关系不大。因此可用共聚方程来表示单体物料组成与共聚物组成之间的定量关系。用分子分数形式表示:式中f1、f2分别为M1和M2在单体中的分子分数,F1、F2分别为M1和M2在共聚物中的分子分数,r1、r2分别为两单体的竞聚率。共聚方程适用于自由基、阳离子和阴离子共聚合,且只适用于低转化率下的计算。高转化率时的组成可用有关的积分形式。根据共聚体系的竞聚率,用共聚物组成曲线f1-F1和f2-F2表示式(1)和(2),可简便而又清晰地反映原料单体组成和共聚物组成之间的关系。
