聚电解质聚电解质polyelectrolytes线型或支化的合成和天然水溶性高分子,其结构单元上含有能电离的基团。又称高分子电解质。不溶性体型聚电解质归入离子交换树脂。聚电解质按电离的基团可分为:①聚酸类。电离后成为阴离子高分子,如聚丙烯酸(式a)、聚甲基丙烯酸(式b)、聚苯乙烯磺酸(式c)、聚乙烯磺酸(式d)、聚乙烯膦酸(式e)等。②聚碱类。电离后成为阳离子高分子,如聚乙烯亚胺、聚乙烯胺(式f)等。此外,还有无机类的聚磷酸盐(式h)、聚硅酸盐(式i)和天然的核酸、蛋白质。后二者因一分子中具有酸性和碱性两种可电离的基团,所以称为高分子两性电解质。聚电解质可用作食品、化妆品、药物和涂料的增稠剂、分散剂、絮凝剂、乳化剂、悬浮稳定剂、胶粘剂,皮革和纺织品的整理剂,土壤改良剂,油井钻探用泥浆稳定剂,纸张增强剂,织物抗静电剂。聚电解质还对生物显示许多生理作用。
