铼铼rhenium一种化学元素。化学符号Re,原子序数75,原子量186.207,属周期系ⅦB族。1872年俄国D.I.门捷列夫曾根据元素周期律预言,存在一个原子量为190并与锰的性质相似的化学元素,命名为类锰。1925年德国W.诺达克、I.诺达克-塔克和O.C.贝格用光谱法分析铌锰铁矿时发现这个元素,命名为rhenium,该字来源于拉丁文Rhenus,含义是莱茵河。铼在地壳中的含量为0.001×10-4%。铼的矿物很少,只有辉铼矿(ReS2)和铜铼硫化物矿(CuReS4)。铼主要与钼、铜、铅、锌、铂、铌的矿物伴生,具有经济价值的含铼矿物为辉钼矿,一般含铼0.001%~0.031%。铼有两种天然同位素,铼185为稳定同位素,铼187为放射性同位素。铼是银白色金属,熔点3180℃,沸点5627℃,相对密度20.53,金属铼非常硬、耐磨、耐腐蚀。铼在常温下稳定,300℃时开始被氧化。高温下与硫蒸气化合成二硫化铼,与氟、氯、溴形成卤化物。铼不溶于盐酸,可溶于硝酸和热的浓硫酸,生成高铼酸(HReO4)。铼的氧化态为-1、+1、+2、+3、+4、+5、+6、+7。氧化物有Re2O、Re2O3、ReO2、ReO3、Re2O7。焙烧辉钼矿的烟道灰和精炼铜中的阳极泥中含Re2O7,转化为高铼酸钾后,用氢气在800℃还原,可得金属铼。高纯铼可由三氯化铼的热分解制得。金属铼及其合金可用于制造自来水笔的笔尖和高温热电偶,在醇类脱氢和将二氧化硫氧化为三氧化硫反应中用作催化剂。
