硫酸铁  铁的硫酸盐的统称。    硫酸亚铁FeSO4为无色粉末;相对密度3.4;加热分解;与水作用,生成七水合物FeSO4·7H2O,俗称绿矾。绿矾为蓝绿色晶体;熔点64℃,密度1.898克/厘米3;加热到90℃时,失去6分子结晶水;小心加热到300℃时,失去全部结晶水。绿矾在空气中缓慢风化,表面层被氧化呈黄褐色;溶于水、甘油、无水甲醇,微溶于乙醇;有还原性,能与碱金属的硫酸盐(包括硫酸铵)形成稳定、不易氧化的硫酸复盐M姟Fe(SO4)2·6H2O(MⅠ为+1价金属)。    硫酸亚铁是工业上用硫酸处理含铁矿物的副产品,也可由铁与稀硫酸作用而得;可做还原剂、净水剂、煤气净化剂、媒染剂、杀虫剂、肥料、补血剂,也用来制墨水和颜料。    硫酸铁Fe2(SO4)3为黄色粉末,极易潮解而成棕色液体;密度 3.097克/厘米3(18℃),加热到480℃时分解。它的水合物很多,常见的是九水合物Fe2(SO4)3·9H2O,为棕黄色晶体,密度2.1克/厘米3;175℃时失去7分子水。硫酸铁溶于水、无水乙醇;不溶于浓硫酸。其水溶液因三价铁离子的水解呈棕红色,容易与碱金属硫酸盐(包括硫酸铵)形成硫酸复盐MIFe(SO4)2·12H2O。硫酸铁可用硝酸、过氧化氢等氧化剂氧化含硫酸的硫酸亚铁热溶液而制得,也可用氢氧化铁与硫酸作用而得;可做净水剂、媒染剂、颜料和药物。
