锑污染 锑在地壳中的丰度为0.2ppm。含锑矿物以辉锑矿为主,其次是方锑矿。中国锑矿储量丰富,20世纪以来,锑产量常居世界首位。除含锑矿物外,页岩中锑含量为1.5ppm，石油中锑含量最高可达1ppm。有人分析了13种原煤中的含锑量，其浓度从小于0.1ppm到2ppm。据统计，当前全世界锑年产量已达 6万吨左右。其中一半用于制造合金，另一半以锑化合物形态应用于橡胶、纺织、陶瓷、玻璃、半导体和医药等方面。 对大气的污染 锑矿的开采和冶炼，矿物燃料的燃烧,使锑以蒸汽或粉尘的形式进入大气。但在目前,锑还不是大气的主要污染物。美国在1978年因冶炼加工、燃料燃烧等向大气排放约480吨锑，美国7个地区大气中已明显地检测到锑。1977年南极地区的大气中锑的含量为0.0008纤克／米3。欧洲的大气中锑的含量为0.6～32纤克/米3,平均值为8纤克/米3。北美的大气中锑的含量为0.08～55纤克/米3，平均值为12纤克/米3。有人自1957年至1974年在英国某地进行观测，发现大气中的锑含量有季节性变化，冬季因燃烧取暖，大气中锑含量增加。 对水体的污染 含锑的岩石被流水侵蚀，工业废水排放，大气锑尘随雨雪降落或自然沉降，都会引起水中锑含量增加。河流中锑的含量为 0.01～5微克／升，平均值为 0.2微克／升。锑在淡水中以五价锑的形态存在。海水中锑含量为0.18～5.6微克／升，平均值为 0.24微克／升。海水中的锑以络合物形式存在，其主要配位基是羟基，理论上的形态为Sb(OH)宮。 对土壤的污染 土壤中锑含量很低。含锑岩石的风化和大气中锑尘的降落，是土壤中锑的主要来源。每公斤土壤锑含量为0.2～10毫克，平均值为1毫克。锑富集在土壤的表层，在土壤中会发生价态变化，为植物吸收。植物锑含量为0.0001～0.2ppm。 毒性 进入水体的锑，对藻类产生毒害的浓度始于3.5毫克／升,对鱼类则为12毫克／升。锑的毒性和砷相似。三价锑化合物的毒性较五价锑强，水溶性化合物的毒性较难溶性化合物强，锑元素粉尘的毒性较其他含锑化合物强。 成年人体内平均含有锑约5.8毫克,大都来自作炊具、餐具用的陶器和搪瓷制品上的釉，因为釉中的锑可以被食物中的酸溶解而进入人体。使用锑制剂治疗血吸虫病，或误服锑化合物，或食用以锑制器皿盛放的食物，易引起急性中毒。肺内的锑，是通过呼吸道进入的。从事锑矿开采、冶炼等工作的工人，如果不注意防护，容易发生锑中毒。进入人体的锑可广泛分布于各组织。体重70公斤的正常人，肌肉中含锑0.042～0.191毫克。锑在人体内不易蓄积，摄入人体的锑大部分从尿中排出。 环境标准 美国规定劳动环境空气中含锑量不得大于0.5毫克／米3。苏联规定污水中锑的最大容许浓度为0.2毫克／升,水体中锑的最大容许浓度为0.05毫克／升。中国规定地面水中锑的最大容许浓度为0.05毫克／升。
