分水苑风景区这是一园林式景区,也是红旗渠总干渠分为三条干渠的地方。距市区18公里,位于林虑山北部向东分支的大驼岭、猫儿岭之间凹腰处,原名“坟头岭”,后因之改名为“分水岭”。这里各景点排列有序,规划严整,翠柏簇拥,渠水奔腾。真可谓“山水秀丽”,令人“心旷神怡”。“分水苑牌楼”是红旗渠风景区第一景,也是进入分水苑风景区的大门,为仿古式山门牌坊,由安阳市园林设计室设计,林州市红旗渠施工队承建。1994年3月破土动工,同年7月主体工程告竣,共投工日2000多个,投资10万余元。正门高8.5米,两侧门高 6.5米,总宽度10米,整座牌楼由4根直径0.7米的褐红色圆柱托起,正、侧门全部用棕黄色琉璃瓦封顶。建筑采用钢筋混凝土结构,正门坐斗枋正立面是片金跑龙彩画,下口枋立面是草龙和玺彩画。绘画精细,制作精美; 雕梁画栋,光彩夺目;民族风格,古朴典雅;结构精巧,造型秀丽。正门檐下有原中共林县县委第一书记、红旗渠建设总指挥部政委,国务院贫困地区经济开发领导烛给;办公室顾问杨贵题"分水苑"。
