净化净化purification 净化(purification)亦称“陶冶，，，痛苦和木愉快的激情得到一定的舒泄、消除，转化为相反的激情。在美育活动中，审美反应本身实质上就可被归结为这种净化，或称为复杂的情感转化。作为任一情感本质的神经系统能量的舒泄，是在和通常相反的方向中发生的。因此，美育活动便成为神经能量最适当和最重要的舒泄的最强大手段。美育内容，现实生活或反映它的一切艺术作品结构中所含有的内在矛盾性是净化过程的基础。如《红楼梦》中描述林黛玉焚诗稿那一段，文字不 多，语言简练，节奏舒缓，却能使读 者经历复杂的情感舒泄、转化，从而产生高尚、清醒的感觉，站起来轻舒 一口气，便不再有小说给予的痛苦的、体验。古希腊亚里士多德在《诗学》，中曾说:通过怜悯和恐惧净化这类激情。这正是他对悲剧实质作用的评价。他纠正了柏拉图认为悲剧只能败坏人 的情感的提法，说明悲剧可以陶冶人 的情感，有益于人的身心健康。从美育上看，净化就是人的精神境界的提 高和升华。 (张粹然撰周作云审)
