陶弘景陶弘景（456～536）中国南北朝时道士。字通明，号华阳隐居、华阳真人。丹阳秣陵（今江苏南京）人。出身于江东名门。博通儒学经典，以文章辞句著称。天文历算、地理方物、医药养生、金丹冶炼、服饵辟谷、卜筮占候等无所不通。另兼工草隶，擅绘画，善琴棋。刘宋末年，为诸王侍读。入齐，为奉朝请。武帝永明十年（492），辞官不就，隐居句曲山（今江苏茅山），跟从兴世馆主东阳道士孙游岳受符图经法诰诀。后游历各名山大川，博访四方人士。南齐永明年间（481～493），于茅山建华阳馆，传上清大洞经箓，开创道教上清派茅山宗。自称华阳真人。陶弘景虽归隐山林，但“心存魏阙”。雍州刺史萧衍起兵伐齐，陶弘景因与萧衍宿有旧谊，遂派弟子戴猛假道奉表，援引图谶，以“梁”字为国运之号，以示拥戴。建立政权后，萧衍封国号梁，自称梁武帝，自此宠信益盛，恩礼愈笃，书问不绝，时人谓为山中宰相，声望显赫一时。陶弘景道教思想宗于老子、庄子及葛洪的神仙方术学说，同时，主张儒、佛、道三教合流。曾受佛戒于宁波阿育王塔，在茅山道观中，建有佛、道二堂，轮番礼拜。著述甚多，传世之作有《真诰》、《登真隐诀》、《真灵位业图》、《养性延命录》、《古今刀剑录》、《太清诸丹集要》、《合丹药诸法节度》、《本草经集注》、《陶氏效验方》、《补阙肘后百一方》、《药总诀》、《集金丹黄白方》等。卒谥贞白先生。
