《益州名画录》 中国北宋绘画史著作。又名《成都名画记》。黄休复编撰。黄休复,字归本,久居成都,生卒年不详,约活跃于北宋初年。《益州名画录》是一部记述唐、五代至宋初以西蜀寺院壁画创作为主要内容的地区性画史。 此书以列传体形式记载了自孙位至邱文晓等58位画家的小传及壁画作品,按"逸、神、妙、能"四格编排,共分上、中、下3卷。作者在记述画家和作品时,很少进行艺术分析,而在篇首《目录》中,首先揭出"四格"之目,并对其各自的特点,用精简的文字加以说明,以作为评定画家艺术成就高下的标准,集中反映了他的艺术见解。他认为"逸格"最难,被他推崇为"逸格"的画家唯有孙位一人。对于画家传记中记载的主要内容,有籍贯、官职升迁、师承关系、作品名目及作品绘制的地方位置等情况。黄休复依靠寻访壁画遗迹来积累编写史籍的资料。因此,书中对这一时期寺院壁画的名目、内容、年代、配列、构图、绘画特点等方面的记载,都是本人亲身采访所得,较为翔实可靠。由于这些壁画的作者,大都是西蜀画院的画家,书中介绍这些画家时,也涉及到画院的有关制度、升迁招录、社会地位、职位待遇、师承关系、绘画创作、艺术流派等,为研究五代西蜀地区及画院的绘画活动及其对宋初画院的影响提供了重要的文献资料。 《益州名画录》在编写过程中虽然曾受到唐代裴孝源、朱景玄、段成式等人的绘画史籍的影响,但作为开创地区性绘画史籍的体例,实应归功于黄休复。此后,在此书的影响下,后世不断出现地区性绘画史著作。
