彝族彝族中国少数民族。分布在云南、四川、贵州、广西四省区。人口657.2万人（1990）。使用彝语，属汉藏语系藏缅语族彝语支。原有一种表意文字。1975年制定四川《彝文规范试行方案》，确定819个规范彝字，并开始在四川凉山彝族自治州推行使用。彝族是古羌人南下在长期发展过程中与西南土著部落融合而成的民族。中华人民共和国建立前，彝族地区的经济是以土地私有制为基础的封建地主经济。主要从事农业，种植玉米、稻谷及其他麦类和豆类。有饲养家禽、蜜蜂以及狩猎、捕鱼、打草鞋、挖药材等家庭副业。彝文典籍浩繁，叙事长诗《阿诗玛》最有名。彝族在天文、历法、气象、医药等方面都有独特的创造和贡献。婚姻为一夫一妻制。历史上盛行父子连名。人死多行火葬。传统节日以火把节最为隆重。服装形式很多，常见的是男子穿黑色窄袖右斜襟上衣和多褶宽裤脚长裤，头顶留二、三寸头发一小块，裹以数丈长的青蓝布包头。男子以无须为美。女子穿镶边或绣花大襟右衽上衣和多褶长裙，外出时男女都穿“擦尔瓦”，形如斗篷。一般信多神、毕摩，亦有人信基督教、天主教。身着民族服饰的彝语妇女
