分心  不能稳定而持久地把注意力集中于当时所应注意事物上的一种心理状态。它是与专心相对立的概念。在分心情况下,有关的心理活动松驰、动摇,因而难以有效地进行学习和工作。    与当前活动无关的强烈或新异刺激,如安静环境中出现的喧闹声等常会引起分心。疲劳、身体不适和不稳定的情绪等也可引起分心。分心可以通过意志努力排除干扰加以克服。实验中,让被试连续做类似打字的工作,同时记录他手指反应的时间和力量以及他的呼吸动作。当被试安安静静地工作了一段时间以后,忽然出现嘈杂声音的干扰,这时就会发现被试用手按键的力量增强了,还伴有言语活动,高声说出字母或数目。这证明,在分心的情况下,人可以用投入更多的肌肉力量和智力活动来克服分心。适应也能消除分心。在一个实验中,用呼吸仪器测定氧消耗量,以衡量被试所消耗的体力。让被试每天在喧闹和安静的条件下各工作20分钟。结果发现,开始几天,喧闹时工作的耗氧量比安静时要多,但到第7天,两种环境下工作时的耗氧量却一样了,这便是适应的结果。人自己对分心刺激的态度也很重要。如果一个人对工作时发生的噪声非常厌烦,那么这种情绪会助长噪声所产生的分心效应。
