居住小区 城市居住区规划的一种基本结构单元。城市居住区可以由若干个居住小区组成，每个居住小区又可根据需要划分为若干个住宅组团。 居住小区的基本特征和内容是：①居住小区由城市干道、绿地、水面、沟渠、陡坡、铁路或其他专用地界划分，用地的界线明确，地段完整，不被全市性或地区性的干道所分割。②居住小区的规模根据城市道路交通条件、自然地形条件、住宅层数、人口密度、生活服务设施的服务半径和配置的合理性等因素确定；一般以居住小区内设置一所小学即可满足本小区儿童入学和小区内生活服务设施有合理的服务半径为小区的人口和用地规模的限度。③居住小区内设置一套为日常生活服务的设施，包括小学、托幼机构、粮店、副食店、日用品商店和修理店等。规模较大的小区可设中学。除学校和托幼机构外，居住小区内公共建筑可以集中设置公共活动中心，也可分散或成组地布置在小区的主要出入口。④居住小区内的道路应形成系统，具有相对的独立性和封闭性，避免将城市干道上的汽车交通引入小区。⑤居住小区要有一定面积的公共绿地，其布置应同小区的公共活动中心、儿童游戏场和老年人活动场所等相结合。 居住小区用地大于居住街坊，把它作为居住区规划的基本单元，能使规划布局具有较多的灵活性；不仅能保证居住生活的方便、安全和宁静，而且有利于城市交通的组织，减少城市交通对居民生活的干扰。（见彩图）
