厉家寨展览馆1957年10月9日，毛主席对莒南县厉家寨战天斗地的模范事迹作了亲笔批示表扬“愚公移山，改造中国，厉家寨是一个好例”。从此大山脚下的厉家寨名扬全国，成为我国五、六十年代农业战线上的一面红旗，1957年至1965年，全国各地到厉家寨参观学习的达50多万人。为纪念这段光荣历史，建起了厉家寨展览馆，后经多次修葺。2005年，对厉家寨展馆进行了一次全面彻底的修护。修复后的展览馆为三层楼结构，总面积3000多平方米，展出面积达1800平方米。所展出内容（图片600多幅，实物30多件）按时间先后顺序排列，展馆共分三个部分：艰苦创业（1942—1957）、光辉批示（1957—1978）、继往开来（1978年以后）。近年来，厉家寨人民立足本身实际，引进栽培大樱桃，把多年整治的万亩梯田及山坡崖畔全部栽植樱桃。今年的5月15日举办了首届厉家寨樱桃节，让游客在采摘樱桃的同时体会当年厉家寨人民整山治水的豪情，红色旅游和生态旅游实现了完美的结合。上世纪50年代前后，勤劳、智慧的厉家寨人面对恶劣的自然环境，整山治水，战天斗地，不断实现粮食丰收，提前10年实现了农业发展计划纲要的目标.为了铭记厉家寨这段光辉历史，厉家寨展览馆曾先后于1977年、1993年、2002年进行了3次修建。但由于条件所限，展出内容不够丰富。从2004年开始，坪上镇党委、政府根据临沂市市委书记李群同志提出的“把厉家寨展览馆建成革命传统教育基地”的要求，多方征集图片、实物等资料。新建成的展览馆展厅面积760平方米，分艰苦创业、光辉批示、继往开来三个部分，共展出珍贵历史图片600多幅、实物80多件，全面再现了厉家寨人艰苦奋斗、敢为人先的精神风貌。
