甲酚红分子式:C21H18O5S分子量:382.42CAS号:1733-12-6性质:带绿色光泽的晶体,磨碎后为红棕色粉末。易溶于醇及稀氢氧化钠溶液,微溶于水。制备方法:将苯甲磺酸酐、邻甲酚、无水氯化锌混和,搅拌加热,在115-120℃缩合反应约7h,通水蒸气赶净剩余的邻甲酚。过滤,滤饼用热碳酸钠水溶液溶解,过滤,在清亮滤液中加1:1盐酸中和,剧烈搅拌。滤出结晶,用少量水洗涤,干燥,得成品。必要时可用冰醋酸重结晶提纯。用途:酸碱提示剂。用20%乙醇配成0.1%溶液或0.04%水溶液(取0.04g该品溶于1.05ml0.1MNaOH溶液),再稀释至100ml。pH变色范围:7.2(黄)-8.8(紫红);2.0(红)-3.0(琥珀色)。
