绿柱石绿柱石beryl环状结构硅酸盐矿物。成分为Be3Al2[Si6O18]。六方晶系,晶体常呈六方柱状,柱面上可有纵纹。无色透明的少见,一般多呈各种色调的浅绿色;成分中富含铯时,呈粉红色,称为玫瑰绿柱石;含铬时,呈鲜艳的翠绿色,称为祖母绿;含Fe2+时,呈淡蓝色,称为海蓝宝石;含少量Fe3+时呈黄色,称为黄绿宝石。玻璃光泽,解理不完全,莫氏硬度7.5~8,比重2.6~2.9。绿柱石主要产于花岗伟晶岩中;云英岩及高温热液脉中也有产出。绿柱石是炼铍的最主要矿物原料。色泽美丽的绿柱石则是宝石原料,其中尤以祖母绿及海蓝宝石最珍贵。绿柱石标本
