经纪人经纪人broker充当交易双方中介并收取佣金的中间商人。狭义的经纪人，专指在证券交易所中进行证券交易的人员。各国证券交易所一般都规定，只有交易所的会员才能进入场内交易。交易所的会员也就是证券商，证券商按业务划分可分为证券经纪商和证券自营商；证券商按身分划分可分为法人会员的证券商和自然人的证券商。各个证券商派出的进入交易所的交易人员，就称为经纪人。此外，还有交易所本身派出的、为证券交易服务的交易人员或经纪人。证券交易所中的经纪人，根据他们的身分、工作性质和任务不同，具体可分为以下几类人员：①佣金经纪人。指证券公司派到经营大厅里，专门为顾客买卖股票的人。股票交易完成后，他们赚取佣金。这类经纪人在证券交易所中人数最多，大多数证券交易都是通过他们进行的。②大厅经纪人。他们是佣金经纪人的辅助人员。在佣金经纪人工作繁忙时，接受其委托从事交易。他们服务所收取的佣金，由委托他们的经纪人的证券公司支付。③专家经纪人。专家经纪人是佣金经纪人的经纪人，是证券交易所进行交易的重要人物。他们是专做几种股票的专家，专驻在某一交易台旁，接受佣金经纪人的委托而经营业务，在先完成客户的指令定单后，也可以自己进行买卖。④证券自营商。他们不是为赚取佣金而代理客户或其他会员买卖股票，而主要是为自己进行股票交易的，但大多数证券自营商也兼做一些代理买卖证券业务。各国的证券交易所对经纪人都有一些严格的规定。一般应先由证券商报送证券交易所进行审核，而后由证券交易所对其进行基础理论、业务常识和操作技术的统一培训，考核合格者由证券交易所发给资格证书，并进行注册登记。申请成为经纪人的基本条件是：思想素质、道德品质好；年纪较轻，男性为主；大学毕业从事证券或其他金融业务一定年限者；思维敏捷，反应灵活，等等。此外，交易所还对经纪人的场内活动做出许多严格要求，如按规定着装，在开市前准时入场，遵守场内各项规章制度等。
