中国社会科学院文献情报中心 中国社会科学院领导下的综合性社会科学情报工作机构，1985年10月成立，由中国社会科学院原情报研究所和原图书资料情报中心合并而成。宗旨是为全院科研工作提供文献情报服务，协调和指导全院的图书资料工作，组织和建立社会科学数据库，促进全国社会科学文献情报网络的建设，以实现全院乃至全国范围内的社会科学图书情报资源共享。 业务部门分为 3部分：①图书资料部分，包括图书馆、文献检索报道室、计算机室、联络协调室。②编辑出版部分，包括社科文献出版社、编辑室。③情报研究部分，包括传统学科情报研究室、新兴学科情报研究室、国外中国学情报研究室、基础资料研究室、国内社会科学情报研究室。此外还有 3个职能机构：科研处、人事处和办公室。"中心"有各类人员176人,其中副研以上高级专业技术职务的人员53人。到1988年，拥有藏书20余万册，重点收藏各类工具书、参考书、大型和系列丛书，新兴和交叉学科图书等。每年定购国外期刊1700余种，国内期刊约800种。 编辑出版6种刊物:《国外社会科学》(月刊)、《国外社会科学快报》(月刊)、《第欧根尼》 (中文版、半年刊)、《中国社会科学文献题录》(双月刊)、 《国外经济文献索引》(半年刊)、《国外社会科学论文索引》(双月刊)。此外，还编辑《中国社会科学学位论文摘要和学术文摘卡片》、《国外社会科学手册》、《中国社会科学手册》等工具书和学术参考资料。 该中心于 1986 年作为中国社会科学院的代表参加"亚太地区社会科学情报网络"(APINESS),成为这个网络在中国的国家联络点(NCP)。该中心的发展趋势是:实行统一的图书资料分类法，实现编目标准化，建立和健全社会科学情报检索系统；并将采用电子计算机、缩微技术、声像设备等，逐步实现和促进社会科学情报工作现代化及网络化。
