铁电体爆-电换能器  一种以铁电体作为换能器件的能量转换装置。铁电体器件在外加直流电场中进行极化时,其电畴取向趋向外电场方向。当外电场撤除后,电畴将保留一定的定向排列而形成剩余极化,同时,在电极被层上保留被剩余极化所束缚的电荷,这就意味着已有静电能贮存于铁电体内部。当爆炸形成的冲击波通过铁电体时,在冲击波的压力作用下,电畴被打乱、破坏或解体,剩余极化消失,电极被层上的束缚电荷变成自由电荷,这些电荷再通过负载向外输出电能。这就是铁电体爆-电换能器工作的物理过程。按照冲击波传播方向与剩余极化方向的相互关系,可以分为垂直、平行、斜交三种工作模式。    目前,垂直工作模式研究得比较多,其基本结构如图所示。铁电体器件通常采用被层为银电极的改性锆钛酸铅(简记作 PZT)系铁电陶瓷。这种换能器能够很方便地产生千安以上的短路电流和10万伏以上的开路电压,在电阻和电感负载相匹配的条件下,输出功率可达兆瓦级。这是一种一次性使用的高功率脉冲电能源,从1956年,F.W.尼尔森提出以来发展很快,现已在工业和军事上得到应用(它不同于热电换能装置,它的剩余极化的消失不是由于温度而是由于冲击波压力作用的结果;也不同于通常的压电换能装置)。
