煤成气  含煤岩系中腐殖型有机质在煤化作用过程中生成的烃类气体(主要为甲烷气),为天然气的重要组成部分。    煤成气气源主要有两类:①富集型有机岩──煤层;②分散型有机岩,以含腐殖型(Ⅲ型)有机质为主的岩层,如碳质泥岩、页岩、沙质泥岩等。有时还含少量混合型有机质(Ⅱ型)岩层,如湖相泥岩等。    有机质在不同地质演化阶段,从生物化学作用到热作用(见煤化作用),可不断生成烃类气(甲烷及同系物)和非烃气 (C O2、N2、......)。未成熟阶段生成生物气(甲烷干气);成熟阶段生成与"煤成油"相伴生的湿气、凝析气;高熟-过熟阶段生成裂解干气。    煤成气主要赋存于含煤岩系的各类储层中,亦可运移到非煤系储层中。按其赋存状态又可分为以下两类:①煤层气。是一种储存在"煤层"的微孔隙和裂隙中的、基本上未运移出生气母岩的天然气,属典型的自生自储式的非常规天然气藏。由于煤层一般致密,透气性差,吸附性强,一般不易解析出气体,有时有部分呈游离状态集中在煤层中,采煤中形成瓦斯突出造成灾害。在适当的地质条件下亦可形成工业性气藏,又称煤层甲烷气。②煤生气。由生气母岩(煤层、碳质泥岩、泥岩)中扩散、运移出来的部分煤成气。聚集并储存于其他储层(如砂岩、砾岩、灰岩)中,可形成不同规模的常规工业性气藏,是煤成气的主要部分,为勘探、开发主要对象。有的逸散于空气中,溶解于地下水或分散于母岩围岩中,不具有工业价值。
