煤泥絮凝 在煤泥水浓缩脱水与澄清作业中，采用絮凝剂使悬浮液中的微细颗粒形成絮团而加速沉降的过程。在煤泥水中悬浮的颗粒表面上存在双电层，形成稳定的悬浮液体系，阻碍煤泥沉降。添加絮凝剂后，借助于凝聚与絮凝作用，破坏悬浮稳定性。絮凝剂包括无机凝聚剂与有机高分子絮凝剂两大类。添加凝聚剂，可压缩颗粒表面双电层的厚度，产生凝聚，称凝聚作用。添加有机高分子絮凝剂，借助于其线型大分子上极性基团，特别是氢键的作用，牢固地吸附在颗粒表面，在颗粒间形成桥连，促使颗粒聚集成团，称絮凝作用。常用的无机凝聚剂有三氯化铁、三氯化铝、石灰、氢氧化钠及明矾等。有机高分子絮凝剂包括：①含有阴离子或阴离子型基团的阴离子型絮凝剂；②含有阳离子或阳离子型基团的阳离子型絮凝剂；③含有非离子型基团的非离子型絮凝剂；④在一定的条件下，可呈现阴离子性或阳离子性的两性型絮凝剂。 选煤厂煤泥水，特别是浮选尾煤水，浓缩澄清作业普遍采用絮凝剂。絮凝剂也用于提高过滤机处理能力或降低滤饼水分，特别是带式挤压机作业，必须添加絮凝剂。应用最广泛的絮凝剂为聚丙烯酰胺类。
