合山胜境合山村,位于和顺县城东16公里处的太行山麓。四周有72山峦环抱,村处于幽谷盆地之中,故名。合山村以山取胜,以泉出名,以庙引人。山有脉,共有36奇峰;水有泉,称“合山奇泉”;庙有趣,集古朴典雅于一体。又有“聚宝松峰”、“娘子圣泉”、“五花奇石”、“石井搜奇”、“千松撷趣”、“圣母仙掌”等十大景点,使古建雄姿与自然野趣相结合,情景交融,意趣盎然,构成了一幅山河壮丽的自然画卷。具有山、水、林、文综合艺术的园林特点,诗情画意,引人入胜。尤以迷人莫测的“合山奇泉”为最,每当盛夏泉水出涌,先闻声后出水,流后40分钟断流,退回眼中,后又出,周而复始。这间隙流息之时,景色十分壮观,游人接踵,观赏赞叹,奇而不解,实属太行独奇、和顺一宝。这股泉水,经初步化验,含有丰富的矿物质,可以开发矿泉饮料。村东山脚下,又有古朴典雅的懿济圣母庙古建筑群,背山面水,环境幽美。庙始创于宋,重修于元,历代均有修葺,距今已有千年的历史。共有殿堂108间,坐南朝北,依山而筑,平面布局规制严谨,风度古朴端庄,殿台迭层升高。山门上有戏楼,下为通道。两侧为钟鼓楼,灵官庙。灵官庙院又分上下两院,圣母大殿位于上院,面阔、进深各三间,单檐歇山顶,插飞斗拱,翼角起翘,仍呈柔和绚丽的宋代风格,又有元代的建筑特点。两侧为“痘疹殿”、“眼光殿”、“太尉殿”、“白龙殿”。下院有东西廊庑、禅房等。庙内有石碑十余通。为山西省重点文物保护单位。在圣母庙左侧,有“显泽侯神祠”,俗称大王庙,有正殿3间,配殿4间,惜已残破,正在修复中。圣母殿前,又有泉眼两处,为“子母泉”。子母泉水终年不断,清澈甘冽,与“合山奇泉”相互掩映,亦为合山胜境之一。
