河南新密古城寨龙山时代古城时代:新石器时代发掘地点:河南省新密市曲梁乡大樊庄古城寨村发掘单位:河南省文物研究所简介:古城寨龙山时代城址建于溱水东岸的河旁台地上,为东西长方形,现存三面城墙和南北相对两座城门缺口。城址规模宏大,墙高沟深,气势雄伟,城址面积17650平方米,最高处达十六米,最宽处达四十余米。周围环绕护城河南河,宽34至90米不等。在古城寨城址的东南部,还发现了大面积的龙山时代夯筑建筑群,此处原为低洼地带,筑城时为扩大面积,不惜调用大批人力物力、垫土夯墙基,最深处达10米,墙基宽度多在60米至100米之间,再加大地面之上的高大城墙,其工程之大,在中国早期筑城史上极为罕见,其中已清出一座大型宫殿基址和大型廊庑式建筑,且与城墙的方向一致,为南北长方形,长28.4米、宽13米,面阔7间,南、北、东三面有回廊。据介绍,这座古城址是目前发现的龙山文化时期面积最大、结构最复杂的宫殿式建筑,同时也是中原地区规模最大、也是全中国城墙保存最好的龙山时代晚期城址。专家认为该城的建造是事先经过统一规划和精心设计的,不仅反映出当时城建规划、夯筑技术和土木建筑技术的进步,也体现了使用者具有至高无上的地位和尊严。龙山时期的晚期遗存是探讨夏文化的重要对象,河南古城寨城址的发现为探索夏文化提供了新的线索,也为研究中国文明起源与国家形成增添了重要资料。
