重介质选 利用比重介于两种矿石比重之间的重介质来选别物料的过程。物料颗粒在介质中受到重力和浮力的作用。合力G0=V(δ-Δ)g;V为颗粒体积;δ为颗粒密度;Δ为重介质密度;g为重力加速度;对δ>Δ的矿粒,G0为正,即下沉;δ<Δ的颗粒,G0为负,上浮。用于选别的重介质有两类:①重液,有四氯化碳、氯化钙水溶液等,但因它们价格昂贵,不易回收,或有毒,仅限于试验室应用;②重悬浮液,由水和加重剂混合而成,比重为1.25~4.0,随选用的加重剂密度及其与水的配比而变化。加重剂为粘土、石英、高炉灰、重晶石、赤铁矿、黄铁矿、磁铁矿、硅铁和方铅矿等细粒固体,根据对重悬浮液所需比重选用。 在选别过程中要求设备能保证介质的比重稳定,并能顺利地排放产品。重介质分选机有:①圆筒形分选机(图1),②锥形分选机,③鼓形分选机,④重介质振动槽,⑤重介质旋流器。前四种分选块状物料;后者分选细粒物料。选煤常用角锥形、深槽型及浅槽型重介质分选机。重产品排出则视情况选用立轮、斜轮、刮板或螺旋输送机等装置,从而构成多种型式的重介质分选机。在选矿中以圆筒形重介质分选机用得最多。 本法可用于预选别从原矿或破碎产品中排弃部分脉石或采矿时混入的围岩。选煤时(工艺流程见图2)则可得到最终精煤及尾煤。其优点是单机生产能力大、分选精度高,可选物料粒度范围宽、生产费用低,但回收加重剂的过程较复杂,包括选别产品的清洗,加重剂的回收、净化,回收重介质的浓缩、过滤等。
