硝酸纤维素硝酸纤维素nitrocellulose分子式。又称纤维素硝酸酯。呈微黄色，外观像纤维。含氮量一般在10％～14％，含氮量较高的俗称火棉，较低的称胶棉。不溶于水，溶于甲醇、丙酮、冰醋酸等，微溶于1∶3（体积）的乙醇-乙醚混合溶剂。干燥的硝酸纤维素非常敏感，受摩擦或冲击立即爆炸。含水量对它的引爆性影响很大，含水1％～2％时瞬间可以引爆，含水7％时勉强可以爆炸，当含水量高于20％后不燃烧也不爆炸；长期暴露于日光下可发生分解。硝酸纤维素由纤维素（如棉纤维、木浆等）经不同配比的浓硝酸和浓硫酸的混合酸处理制得。火棉可用于制造无烟火药和胶质火药等，使用时爆炸点为195～205℃。胶棉可用于制塑料和喷漆，也用于电工技术、照相和电镀等方面。
